Helsinki Cathedral Helsingin tuomiokirkko Diptych Canvas Print

Using Zazzle's amazing wrapped canvas printing technology this matte canvas is illustrated with a photograph of Helsinki Cathedral wrapped around the frame at the sides, providing a 3D effect to this famous landmark in the city center.

The work is created as a diptych (two panels) with the parts of the image that would be occupied by the space between the panels moved to the canvas wrapped beyond each edge of the frame, so that the cathedral retains the proper proportions and flow between each panel.

At the press of a button you are able to apply advanced customization that will allow you to select a single panel for production. The width of the surrounding frame is also adjustable with three thicknesses available, and special effects for conversion to black and white, or sepia may be applied.

The cathedral, designed by Carl Engel and constructed between 1830 and 1852, is neoclassical in style with its white walls, green domes and gold decoration shining brightly here in a cold blue winter sky. This view is from Senate Square, showing snow covered steps leading up to the front of the cathedral. A tall green dome stands at the center with two of the four smaller domes on either side.
